Health Guarantee
All Labrador puppies purchased from us come with a health guarantee. Within 10 days of purchasing your new Labrador puppy, you must take him/her to a licensed veterinarian for an examination. If the veterinarian determines within this period that your puppy is clinically ill or has died from an injury sustained or illness likely contracted on or before the date of sale and delivery, you can contact us.
Our Labrador puppies are 100% guaranteed to be in good health and free of any signs of infection or communicable diseases at the time of adoption. We take pride in the fact that our relationship with you does not end when you take home a Labrador puppy from us. As a family of breeders, experienced Labrador puppy counselors, and dedicated Labrador lovers, we’d like to believe nothing can ever go wrong with our puppies. However, certain things are beyond our control. A Labrador puppy’s health depends on factors like genetics, exercise, food, nourishment, and overall care. While we cannot guarantee your Labrador puppy will never have a health problem, we guarantee to do our best to ensure your new family member is a healthy one!
We do not believe your Labrador puppy is replaceable, but we do believe that sometimes the pain can be lessened with the company of another furry friend. In the unlikely event of the death of your Labrador puppy within one year from its date of birth due to genetics, or if the Labrador puppy is found to have congenital or hereditary disorders (within one year) that adversely affect its health, we will replace the Labrador puppy with another of equivalent value at no cost to you. The cause of death must be certified by a licensed veterinarian.
What We Need from You:
Nothing delights us more than knowing we were able to bring a healthy, happy Labrador puppy into your home. We do seek your help in ensuring your Labrador puppy remains healthy. Here are a few measures that will help:
- Send us a copy of the examination (medical record) within four business days of receiving your Labrador puppy. The examination must be performed by a licensed vet.
- Your Labrador puppy will come with up-to-date, age-appropriate vaccinations, so please do not vaccinate within the first ten days of receiving your puppy.
- While we de-worm and vaccinate your Labrador puppy until the departure date, we ask that you continue proper de-worming and conduct regular exams up to 16 weeks of age or more (or as recommended by your vet).
Exceptions to Our Guarantee:
We cannot guarantee the disposition, temperament, conformation, size, weight, color, markings, or breeding ability of your new Labrador puppy. No replacements will be given if the puppy becomes overweight, as certain breeds, including Labradors, are prone to hip dysplasia. Failure to provide your Labrador puppy with timely vaccinations or regular veterinary care will void this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover any costs associated with spaying or neutering, including undescended testes.
We require all our Labrador puppies to undergo an extensive health check before they come home to you. This health check is performed by our vet, who is required to fill out our Veterinary Health Report. This report, created for us by a licensed veterinarian, examines the condition of every Labrador puppy for cardiovascular, skin, coat, eyes, mouth, teeth, gums, musculoskeletal, respiratory, ears, urogenital, and gastrointestinal health.
We require this report to be filled out close to the date of your Labrador puppy coming home to you to ensure that the health evaluation is recent. This report is then reviewed internally for any issues or concerns noted by our veterinarian. We also require that you have your Labrador puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within four days of receiving the puppy.
